Our first trip to Scotland
Updated: Sep 28, 2020
I can't believe it's taken me almost 24 years to visit this beautiful place! Scotland has always been a place I have longed to visit.
We started in Edinburgh, which was one of the loveliest city I've ever been to. It's the kind of place I'd love to go back to in the winter, to see all the pretty lights and find a cute cosy cafe for a hot chocolate. They also had some really nice bars which we didn't get to explore as much as we'd have liked.
Next, we moved onto the Scottish Highlands and the Cairngorms National Park. This is by far one of the most beautiful places in the UK. As much as I love Cornwall or Wales, being in Scotland just felt as though we were somewhere else. It gave me so many Norway/Canada vibes. Everywhere we drove just made me want to get out of the car and explore!
Unfortunately this time we didn't get to see any of the famous Highland Coo's, but we did get to do a fantastic Reindeer Trek. Although we couldn't give them a big cuddle due to the COVID-19 situation it was so lovely seeing them on the incredible Cairngorm mountain - I'd definitely recommend going.
We got to see so many other amazing places whilst we were there but it was all too brief. We just ran out of time and before we knew it, it was time to go home.Even though the drive was long we'd definitely like to go again. I can imagine Scotland to be very magical in the autumn or winter. So keep an eye on my social media over the next coming months, as another trip is definitely on the cards.
